This week will be done before I plan for it and all I can do is attempt to move on, even though I feel stuck in the past. I'm welding, which is new to me, and Gerry has lots of welding he wants done on his jeep. I'm doing it all stick (6011) and am a little frustrated by the blown holes and spattered welds. Perhaps I would benefit from a little jeep cleaning. But, Gerry didn't think to bring it by the car wash for a good undercarriage spray before this work. Of course, I didn't either last time and we were bombarded by dirt from my crossmember as we set to work on the transfer case. That's the back of my head as I weld away. I feel like I could spend a week just securing existing frame items on his jeep. But the task this week is to get his spring-over and power-assisted-high-steer in place.

The dogs are real curious to see what I'm doing, but I try to keep them from looking at the welding. My new helmet is keeping my eyes safe and giving me good vision on the job. The blue flames are for Jese, my niece.

With my skill level, some welds are better than others. And, some need to get cut off for other reasons. We moved this one because it needed to be further forward. Neither of us wanted to, but did it surprisingly quickly. Gerry grinding the old one off and me welding the new location.

There's me. In my welding helmet. Lots of work left to do.

I think back to funner times on Sunday with fun in the snow.

It was cold, so I gave Kayla my sweatshirt to play in the snow with.

Gerry went for an MRI today...in this building. I got to go in the room and get magnetized too, but unfortunately wasn't allowed to take photos.

We had a most excellent lunch at a surprising BBQ spot on Main St in Ventura. The Pork sandwich is a must.
